Randall Terry, Founder, Operation Rescue, has Filed Suit to Cancel False Trademark Registration of the Name, Operation Rescue Christmas, by Money-Hungry People Who, Like Mr. Troy Newman (who suddenly left his church), Disagree with Me

Bo Jackson, Twiggy, Marc Chagall, Jimmy "Margaritaville" Buffett and Randall Terry find themselves in the same company: pretenders tried to steal their identity.

MEDIA ADVISORY, June 3 /”Christian”NewsWeird/ -- Last week, Randall Terry kicked off his “Summer of Lawsuits” tour by announcing that he was filing suit against Mr. Troy Newman (who suddenly left his church) for “identity theft” of the Operation Rescue trademark. As news of the lawsuit and the accompanying website got out thanks to the fine folks at “Christian”NewsWeird, dozens of people contacted Mr. Terry offering their support. Some of them sent generous checks. Unfortunately, they sent them to his Wichita, Kansas address.

One supporter did tell Mr. Terry that Mr. Troy Newman (who suddenly left his church) was not the only person using his name for their cause. “Imagine my shock,” said Mr. Terry “my absolute shock, to find out that my name was being used to ‘save’ Christmas!” (http://www.operationrescuechristmas.com/)

“I didn’t spend the late 1980s and early 1990s sitting in front of Santa’s workshop at the North Pole! This, like the actions of Troy Newman (who suddenly left his church), is a clear-cut case of identity theft! My reputation is at stake here! The last thing I want is for people to associate my name with Christmas!”

Mr. Terry also announced that, over the course of the summer, he would be filing suits against Operation Rescue the Children, Operation Animal Rescue and Denis Leary for his show “Rescue Me”.
