Two Saves In Omaha, Nebraska

Dear Friends,

Hell was out in full force at Carhart's killing center today. They committed around thirty abortions, but, PRAISE GOD, at least two were rescued from his death machine.

The first was a couple who appeared to be arguing as they sat in their car for several minutes before getting out. It seemed that it was the man who wanted the abortion as the woman was visibly crying as she walked across the parking lot. We offered her love and support, and told her about the pregnancy center right next door. The man followed behind, smirking at us as if to say, "Ha, ha, I won, she is going to kill our baby." However, twenty minutes later they both came back out. And although neither said a word to us, she was still crying. She pulled her coat up over her head in an attempt to hide her tears and as they drove past me I called out, "We will pray for you and we can still help you." I would like you to pray for them as well, particularly the man who seemed so hard.

The other involved a girl who appeared very young accompanied by two older men (fifties or sixties) and a woman about the same age. They looked to be from out of state as the licence plate was from Wyoming. As they walked toward the stairs one of the men approached Mary Jane telling her to shut up, that it was none of her business and she didn't understand the situation. Mary Jane replied that she knew a baby was going to die and that there was a compassionate solution to the problem. In my opinion the man was attempting to distract her in order to keep her from talking to the young girl. When they got up the stairs, for whatever reason they couldn't find the door and walked out onto the sidewalk where Mary Adam and Joe Ferante were on Bert Murphy. The man covered the girl's face with his coat to hide her from Mary, but Mary saw her when they first came up the stairs and thought she looked to be about 12 or 13. This had all the earmarks of a child abuse situation, so Mary called me on the walkie talkie asking if she should call the police.

In the past we've had little success with the police on this matter. They claim HIPPA prevents them from conducting an investigation. Recently, we even met with Nebraska Attorney General John Bruning and although he had some helpful suggestions, we weren't able to come to any real resolution.

But we decided to go ahead and call the police and to our surprise the officers answering the call were very helpful and actually went inside the mill to check it out. Shortly after all three adults, as well as the young girl, came back out followed by the two police officers. We don't really know what happened as the officers wouldn't tell us much, but these peple left the abortion mill and drove off, and the girl definitely did not have the abortion. At one point, one of the officers patted Mary Adam on the back and said, "Keep up the good work."

Hopefully this was not an abusive situation, but we may never know. There was a police report made and we video taped the people leaving and got the licence number of the car for future reference. Another officer told us he would look into it the best he could. So please keep this girl in your prayers as well.

After we were through at the mill a small group of us went to Sherry Hron's house for a picket. She is Carhart's nurse and although she was at work at the time, her husband appeared to be home. We were all very tired so we only stayed a little less than an hour. But we know they knew we were there as a police car arrived shortly. It was a young female officer who was exceedingly nice to us and didn't even bother going up to the house that called in the complaint. However, just as we were leaving she came back. I went up to the patrol car and told her we were just leaving and asked if there was a problem. She told me not to worry about it, to go ahead and leave as she would take care of it. I watched to see which house it was and sure enough it was the abortion provider's. As we drove away two more police cars pulled up.

It was a long, arduous, but fruitful day. However, I thank the Lord and realize He is still King.

God bless,
Larry
